John Cho(Better Luck Tomorrow, American Pie, Off Centre) stars as Thanh, a teenaged Korean-American kid determined to become the protagonist of his own life in this debut short film by Sumi Yang Reeves and the American Film Institute’s Directing Workshop for Women.

Set in Los Angeles’ Koreatown, this film examines the rather complex world of a young man at the intersection of Youth and Maturity, Right and Wrong. Thanh finds himself balancing school and his fathers expectations, with the lure of the easy money he finds as a small-time hood. Yet, the conflict is not that simple. Deciding to take control of ones own life is sometimes about figuring out which life is the one to take control of.
